FAQ
Questions shop owners ask
Does Tillo work without internet?
Yes. Bills are saved on your phone and sync when the connection returns. To keep your subscription verified, the phone needs to connect to the internet from time to time: it works offline for about 7 days, plus a 2-day grace period, before it asks you to reconnect.
Which devices does Tillo run on?
Tillo’s POS app is an Android app. One subscription authorises one active POS phone, and a replacement phone can be activated if you change devices.
What happens if my subscription ends?
There is a 7-day grace period after the paid period ends. After that the app shows a subscription-expired screen until you renew.
Can I print receipts?
Yes, to a Bluetooth thermal printer. The Pro plan can also save or share a receipt as a PDF and print your business logo. Printer compatibility depends on the model, so please check with us before you buy a printer.
Can I sell on credit to regular customers?
Yes, on the Standard and Pro plans. Attach a customer to a sale, record it as credit, and record repayments later. Tillo shows each customer’s outstanding balance, and the Pro plan adds a customer report.
What is the difference between Basic, Standard and Pro?
Every plan includes billing, tax, products, stock in and out, receipt printing, sync and the in-app guide. Standard adds customers and credit sales, hold bills, bill discount, camera barcode scanning, product pictures, blocking sales at zero stock, UPI QR codes, WhatsApp bills, low-stock alerts, expenses, and returns with credit notes. Pro adds everything else: customer report, suppliers and purchase orders, advanced reports, PDF receipts, your logo on receipts, the GST report with spreadsheet exports, staff PINs and roles, and several branches.
Can my staff have their own PINs, and can I run more than one shop?
Yes, on the Pro plan. The owner sets up people as Owner, Manager or Cashier, each with a PIN that also works offline. Cashiers only sell, managers also run products, stock, returns, discounts, expenses and reports, and owners also change settings and staff. Every bill shows who made it. With several branches, each shop has its own stock, bills and expenses, and the owner can see every branch together.
Can I change my plan later?
Yes. Ask us and the change reaches your phones the next time they sync. Anything you have already recorded stays viewable if you move to a smaller plan.
Do the prices include GST?
Yes. The prices shown for Basic, Standard and Pro include GST.
Is there a free trial, setup fee or discount?
